Only they lack two weeks for the inauguration of the sixth edition of the International Exposition of Art, that is carried out of the 6 Al December 9, 2007. What do there are in the program besides the exhibitions of 220 galleries originating from 30 countries in the Miami Beach Convention Center? Art Basel Miami Beach will present "Art Video Lounge", with a program cured by Michael Darling (Curator of Contemporary and Modern Art Jon and Mary Shirley in the Seattle Art Museum), in the building of the Botanical Garden crossing the street since the Miami Beach Convention Center. The forum of "Art Basel Conversations" presents thematic roundtables that rotate around the topics "Collectors ace Producers", "The Future of the Museum in India", "Women in Art" and "Criticizing Art Criticism". Among the speakers personalities are included as prominent as Anupam Poddar, Patrizia Re Rebaudengo, Pestle Hoffmann, Richard Flood, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Dave Hickey, Daniel Birnbaum and many other. In "Art Sound Lounge", the listeners will receive a personal system of sound so that they use it while they travel through the gardens of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and they enjoy a various artists audio pieces program and musicians such as John Shit, Grandmaster Flash, Christian Marclay, DJ Spooky, Pierre Schaeffer and many other. The program of "Art Sound Lounge" was selected and compiled by David Weinstein, managing Director of Art Radio WPS1.org. As additional satellite exhibition of Art Basel Miami Beach projects of art in public spaces are presented, with works of artists internationally praised that they include Haluk Akakçe, Alberto Baraya, Rodney Dickson, Jeppe Hein, Claude Lévêque, Ryan McGinness, Susan Philipsz, Björn Dahlem and Jaume Plensa. The evenings are the moment for events intertwined with emphasis on the music (Iggy and you Stooges), the movies (Lou Reed) and the architecture (a conversation between the architect Jacques Herzog and the artist Doug Aitken, moderated by Terry Riley, Director of the Miami Art Museum).

The spaces of exhibition and of events of Art Basel Miami Beach they are found in the Miami Beach Convention Center, the Botanical Garden and the Collins Park, in the beach. All the conceivable forms of visual art (paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, photographs, original engravings, performances, videoarte and sonorous art) they will be available there for their appreciation and acquisition. The prices cover since a few hundreds of dollars by editions limited and works of young artists, to various millions by worthy masterpieces of a museum. Art Basel Miami Beach is the most important exposition of art of the Americas.
